About the speaker

Dr. McAusland is a Professor at the University of British Columbia and the President of the Canadian Resource and Environmental Economics Association. Dr. McAusland holds a Master in Economics and PhD in Economics at the University of Michigan and has taught at the University of California at Santa Barbara and the University of Maryland. She has been teaching at UBC Food and Resource Economics since 2009. Her research interests include environmental policy, regulated markets, carbon footprints, globalization, and international trade. She teaches undergraduate courses in Economics of Food Consumption Policy and Economics of International Trade and the Environment. She also teaches a module in Environmental Economics in the MFRE Program.
