Climate policies are national, while climate change is a global issue and we have no control over what our trading partners do. In this talk, Dr. McAusland will address the topic of leakage and policies to deal with it.

Dr. McAusland is a Professor at the University of British Columbia and the President of the Canadian Resource and Environmental Economics Association. Dr. McAusland did her M.A. and Ph.D. in Economics at the University of Michigan and has taught at the University of California at Santa Barbara and the University of Maryland. She has been teaching at Food and Resource Economics, UBC since 2009. Her research interests include environmental policy, regulated markets, carbon footprints, globalization, and international trade. She teaches undergraduate courses in Economics of Food Consumption Policy and in Economics of International Trade and the Environment. She also teaches a module in Environmental Economics in the MFRE Program.
