Using techniques originating in mathematics, statistics and computer science, the new Business Analytics for the Food and Resource Sector course, explores the emerging fields of data visualization and machine learning. Students will get familiarized with data analysis software such as Tableau, R and Excel and languages such as NoSQL and SQL databases. Through team-based projects, students will learn of the more business-related aspects of analytics including data governance, dashboards, performance metrics (KPIs), data security/privacy and effective presentations.
