The Environment and Development Economics Journal published this past autumn Juan Fercovic’s article “Economic development and residential water consumption in Chile”. The article was Juan’s master’s thesis, which he wrote along with his master’s supervisors from the university Pontífica Universidad Católica de Chile in Santiago. In the paper, they measure the variance in water demand with changes in climate and they also predicted future water consumption with different climate scenarios.

Juan Fercovic’s one of several of our staff who are currently PhD candidates. His research and publications are mainly focused on climate change and environment. Read more about his article here.
