Steve Roosdahl has 24 years of experience in the produce industry and is currently the Executive Director of Supply Chain with The Oppenheimer Group. The Oppenheimer Group is a marketer and distributor of fresh fruits & vegetables sourced from 27 countries supplying over 50 million cartons of fresh produce to retailers across North America. Steve is responsible for the operations, quality control, manufacturing, inventory control, and transportation departments providing efficient distribution through the supply chain. Prior to supply chain, Steve started with Oppenheimer in the IT department designing and implementing the software systems used to support the supply chain. Steve is a member of a number of industry committees with goals to resolve industry issues around technology, traceability and government policy, these committees include chair of the Canadian Produce Marketing Association (CPMA) Technology Committee, member of the CPMA Government Committee, chair of the Produce Traceability Initiative (PTI) Implementation Working Group, and Director of Produce Supply Industry Committee.

In this talk, Steve will discuss some of the top current topics in the industry, such as plastic packaging, food waste, food safety, labelling, traceability and much more.
