Kookai is currently a Venture Partner at the51 Food&Ag fund where she invests in underrepresented entrepreneurs improving the global food system. She was previously an investor at Pangaea Ventures where she invested in companies utilizing science and engineering to solving the world’s most fundamental problems in climate change, food& water security and health outcomes. Prior to her role as a VC, Kookai launched an award-winning startup and built partnership programs at the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. 

Kookai is a community builder, speaker and mentor to the startup communities globally. She is currently the Co-Chair of the Vancouver Entrepreneurs Forum and the Committee Member at the Canadian Women in VC.  When not investing, she devotes her time championing diversity and inclusion in the tech ecosystem with a deeply rooted conviction that the rising tide lifts all boats.

With her MBA credentials and unique skillset, Kookai is enjoying her career in finance as a bridge between investors and entrepreneurs who share a vision of a cleaner planet and better world.
