In order to support the food, resources, agricultural and environmental sectors in Canada, the MFRE program is offering two unique scholarships for the academic year starting fall 2019. These scholarships are intended for outstanding students with strong interest and/or professional experience in these sectors, and who will contribute that experience to the MFRE program. Applications will be open until March 31st 2019.   The two scholarships are offered as follows:

One Food and/or Agricultural Sector Scholarship – $7000 For an outstanding student with strong interest and/or first-hand experience in the food and/or agricultural sectors in Canada.

One Environment and/or Resource Sectors – $7000 For an outstanding student with strong interest and/or first-hand experience in the environment or resource sectors in Canada.

  • Ensure you meet the MFRE program specific-entry requirements (review here) and have all required documents ready so, you can apply until March 31st.
  • Send an email to mfre.lfs@ubc.ca stating your interest in applying for the Sept 2019 program, that you are eligible and the reason why you are a good fit for the scholarship.
