November 2018 marks another year of celebration for the Masters of Food and Resource Economics program. The 2018 cohort celebrated their graduation with a reception at the UBC Lee Alumni Centre this past November after a beautiful graduation ceremony. The reception was especially memorable since it was George Kennedy’s last graduation as director of the program. He warmed our hearts with inspiring words, followed by a speech from the Dean Rickey Yada.

Three students received a leadership award this year, after which they shared a few words on what leadership means to them. To finish up, a beautiful cake representing the three pillars of MFRE was cut by the recent graduates. It was the perfect ending to this journey taken by the tenth cohort of the MFRE program. Congratulations!
